HOSPITALITY MANAGER – A hospitality manager is an individual who has to oversee and direct all the operations of providing various facilities in a hotel, resort, motel, casino etc. They supervise and coordinate various tasks like housekeeping, food and beverage, room service, front office and other routine operations. They ensure that the guests have an excellent staying experience and the activities in respect to serving the guests run smoothly. The finance controller, human resource manager and housekeepers of the hotel need to report to the hotel manager. A hospitality manager also has to communicate and develop the standard procedures of operation and set standards for excellent customer service.

Chartered Hospitality Manager ™ ChHM

The Chartered Hospitality Manager ™ ChHM credential is a professional benchmark that demonstrates the attainment of a defined level of industry knowledge in hospitality or tourism management, professional practice and ethical behaviour. It forms the basis of the assessment that applicants must pass to gain Chartered Hospitality Manager status and inclusion in the Register of The American Academy of Project Management® AAPM® Chartered Professionals.  A guide book “The Chartered Hospitality Manager” shall assist hospitality manager to sit for the examination besides providing a good source of reference for a hospitality services management professional to excel towards becoming a certified Chartered Hospitality Manager.  Take the challenges ahead with accredited Chartered Hospitality Manager ™ certification.

Study method: Self-paced learning style with the aid of a reference book.

 Requirements:   i)  Degree in Hospitality / Tourism Management or equivalent            ii) 3+ years as a Hospitality Manager or similar role           iii)  Pass the ChHM examination 

HOW TO APPLY: To qualify for the Chartered Hospitality Manager ™ certification, you need to complete the following steps:

1. Complete the Mandatory Candidate Information (MCI) 
2. Complete the payment upon receipt of the invoice 
3. Take the exam when you’re ready

Examination: email to request the examination questions when you are ready to take the exam.  Examination comprised of 50 questions; Passing grade is 70%.
